Competitive Teams U13-U18

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

The Competitive Program focuses on advanced development and competition through the TOYSL League or the COYSA League, which provides supportive, development-focused competition. Practices are led by parent coaches working toward the appropriate Canada Soccer certifications, supported by PFC staff coaches. Players will build skills, confidence, and teamwork.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

Boys & girls born 2013-2008
Two training sessions per week (90 minutes each), led by parent volunteer coaches working towards the appropriate Canada Soccer certifications with oversight from Pinnacles FC licensed professional coaches
One game per week, led by Pinnacles FC parent volunteer coaches
Pre-season training begins in the last week of March, leading into the game season (dates TBC)
League Participation:
- U13: COYSA Open (U13/U14) or TOYSL
- U14-U18: COYSA Open or TOYSL
Optional tournaments may be arranged by teams at an additional cost throughout the season.
Supplement your development with additional academy programming for a comprehensive soccer experience. Players will build skills, confidence, and teamwork in a supportive environment, preparing them for competitive play.

Team Travel: Required as far as Kelowna for COYSA and as far as Revelstoke/Salmon Arm for TOYSL teams.

PROGRAM EQUIPMENT:

Equipment Package Includes: PFC competition jersey (on loan, to be returned at the end of the season), and 1x Navy PFC training jersey, shorts and socks (yours to keep).
All players must have shin guards and proper footwear; cleats and turf shoes are acceptable

TEAM PLACEMENT + EVALUATIONS

Players participate in evaluations for team placement. U13 (TOYSL) teams play 9-a-side, transitioning to 11-a-side full field at U14 (U13/14 for the COYSA League).
All divisions receive the same quality coaching and club support from Pinnacles FC.

SPRING TRAINING SCHEDULE

LEAGUE INFORMATION

COYSA League

COYSA LEAGUE

The COYSA League is the primary district-level league for youth soccer in the Central Okanagan, providing structured, regular competition for teams from Kelowna, Lake Country, West Kelowna, and Penticton. It emphasizes developmentally appropriate play, teamwork, fair competition, and positive experiences, and is generally considered participation-based with varying competitiveness depending on age and team - suitable for players progressing beyond introductory play but not necessarily at the elite travel level.

U13/14, U15/16

Spring Season: April 11 - June 27
Fall Season: Sep 12-Oct 03 with COYSA Cup playoffs (top 4 teams) Oct 17/18

Game Schedule Confirmation

Once the COYSA League has confirmed the league schedule at the beginning of April, Pinnacles FC will communicate the schedule through Teamsnap.
Schedules will be finalized as quickly as possible. The schedule will be published on the COYSA website once it is finalized.

Games will require travel within the South Okanagan to participate in the COYSA League. Approximately 75% of games will be held in West Kelowna or Kelowna.

TOYSL League

TOYSL LEAGUE

TOYSL is an inter-district select level league that brings together competitive teams from the Central Okanagan (COYSA) and surrounding regions (Kamloops, Vernon, Salmon Arm, Revelstoke). It is intended for teams ready to travel and compete at a higher level of youth soccer, requiring more commitment and offering more competitive matches beyond local district play. This is a competitive pathway that offers opportunities to qualify for Provincials at U14–U18, with a chance to advance to Nationals by winning Provincials.

Game Schedule Confirmation

The TOYSL League typically confirms the schedule by mid-March
Once confirmed by the league, Pinnacles FC will communicate all game schedules through TeamSnap.
Finalized schedules will also be published on the TOYSL website.
The majority of games will require travel from Kelowna up to Revelstoke, Salmon Arm and Kamloops

Jersey Deposit: $50

Registration fees include two weekly practices and one game per week, referees for matches, one PFC training jersey, shorts and socks, and all applicable league fees.

Jersey Deposit Details

All Pinnacles FC Development and Competitive players are required to submit a $50 jersey deposit. This deposit will be fully refunded when the Pinnacles FC competition jerseys (blue and white) are returned in good condition at the end of the season. PFC training jersey, game shorts and socks are included and are yours to keep.
